School Tour

                             Tayto Park
We went to Tayto Park on our school tour. We had such a great day! We loved spending our tokens in the adventure zones. The sky walk was a big hit. We enjoyed our tour around the Tayto factory and we got to see lots of interesting animals.

Last Friday we had a Crazy Hair Day to raise funds for Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin. We had some very funky hair enter room 13!

                 

A spot of gardening

We are expert gardeners after our lessons on soil and planting. We learned about top soil, sub soil and the best way to plant vegetables and flowers. We planted peas, beans, cabbage, lettuce and onions. Thanks to Sr. Mary, Ms. McKiernan and Ms. Fleming for all their help and expertise! 
We can't wait to see our vegetables grow. 

Art in room 13 :-)

Art is something we all very much enjoy in room 13. Here is one of the activities that we have worked on over the last few weeks. We hope you like it. Keep an eye on our blog for more art updates.

We studied the art of American artist Andy Warhol and learned how influential he was to pop art in the 1960's. We love the colours and how unusual the images are. We enjoyed experimenting with lots of different colours to create our own pop art pictures of the famous actress Marilyn Monroe.
